Egrets are one of my favourite 'water birds' and in this picture you have really captured the majestical aura that surrounds them.

Susan - glad you like it. Though the color version was nice, I thought I'd try something different with the black and white.
Zoe - I didn't know Egrets were one of your faves... that's good to know. :-)

As for the direction of the birds I photograph, my response is no. If you browse through the archives (http://dustingmybrain.com/archives/cat_friday_feathers.html)
you'll see they also face West.
