Technical Irkies - 2

I don't like having to scroll down to the bottom of a comments box in order to read the first comment. I'd prefer the (my) comments listing to reflect the first comment at the top instead of at the bottom. Anyone know how to do this in MT?

Comments

Change the sort_order in the MTComments tag.

I'll paste this in since I can't manage to make a link:

MTComments

A context dependent container tag representing a list of comments on an entry or for a weblog.

* lastn

Display the last N comments in context. N is a positive integer. lastn is optional in an entry context and required in a weblog context. When used in an entry context, all comments associated to the entry is displayed by default

* sort_order

Specifies the sort order and overrides the General Settings. Recognized values are "ascend" and "descend."

I prefer the "newest" on top, for certain blogs that I constantly recheck back to their comment page because it eliminates re-scrolling. But for all other blogs, newest on the very bottom is more orderly.

RonW - There's a blog that I read where comments can easily total 80 or more, and I find it's difficult to follow what's being said by reading in reverse.
Since I don't get anywhere near that amount of comments, we'll see how it plays out here.

Al - I've changed it (thanks! duh, it was considerably easier than I thought.)
