This and That

Spent last week dusting my brain of extraneous fodder and enjoyed some temporarily mild Northeast temperatures. The nice weather afforded me the opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors photographing my favorite subjects. :-)

When I returned home, there was a lovely birthday surprise waiting for me from Steve and Elena -- two boxes of outrageously delicious treats from Grendel Sweets, which I raved about last month. Thanks so much, Steve and Elena!

Needless to say, Miss Piggy had a field day and refused to share the goodies with anyone. After all, it IS all about me when it comes to my birthday!

ION (in other news), as soon as I can get around to it, I'm planning to do a separate blog for Friday Feathers. Though I'll most likely continue posting bird bits here on Fridays, the other blog will give me the opportunity to post more frequently on the subject of birds and post more of the photos I've taken. Unless there are better recommendations, I'm going to use Blogger for it, even though it's got that godawful Blogger bar at the top of the page (hey, I have no problem with it if only I could move it elsewhere on the page.) If you've used or are currently using Blogger for your blog do let me know; perhaps you'll let me 'borrow' your templates if you've customized the page layout/design. :-)
