2006 Hurricane Season Outlook
NOAA Predicts Very Active 2006 North Atlantic Hurricane Season
Residents in Hurricane Prone Areas Urged to Make Preparations
NOAA's 2006 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook indicates an 80% chance of an above-normal hurricane season, a 15% chance of a near-normal season, and only a 5% chance of a below-normal season.
The outlook calls for a very active 2006 season, with 13-16 named storms, 8-10 hurricanes, and 4-6 major hurricanes. The likely range of the ACE index is 135-205% of the median. This prediction indicates a continuation of above-normal activity that began in 1995. However, we do not currently expect a repeat of last year's record season.

You shouldn't start censoring your own copy, like the other day, because I make snotty-nosed remarks about it!
Of course I now what your sexual preferences are, but one of the prime tenets of equality is the right of both sexes to change their minds...
Why on earth you bother to give us a list of hurricane names escapes me entirely, since I'd have thought you've got better things to do with your time.
But at least the people who make them up know about equality, even if they're stupid enough to leave out the names of the some of the greatest living storms of my acquaintance, both in person and online. N'est-ce pas, Sinful?

Nicholas - that wasn't censoring, that was editing. :P
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
I'll guess you did, as you're particularly snarky today.
Zoe - we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I get to be a storm this year. Finally! Wahoo! Maybe it'll be a fiver.
Last year when we started on the greek letters, I mentioned to a lot of folks that the storm you don't want to be anywhere near is hurricane pi.
