Still Tumbling

I could have used "Oops, I did it again" or "I'll tumble 4U" or some other dorky title for this post, but since my brains have received a bit of a rattling, I'll just leave it as is, still tumbling. :-)

I'm convinced that in a previous life I was stuntwoman or something along those lines. In true "me" form, I walked out of my apartment, turned the corner to descend the main staircase and the next thing I knew I was on my back and bouncing off the stairs . Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while may recall the tale I wrote back in June of 2003 -- June 8 actually -- when I did that very same thing but in my mother's house, my foot slamming into a glass picture frame that was at the bottom of the stairs.

All is fine, though some areas of my body are still in recovery. When I realized what happened I laughed, but that didn't occur until all the obscenities left my mouth. You'd think I was just learning to walk with new feet or something, the way I plummeted down the stairs. Oh well. Sometimes you've got no other choice but to laugh at yourself.

Still drinking in the morning, I see.

Petunia: I'm really achy today, but other than that, I'll try to be more careful.

Al: That would be a great excuse. Unfortunately that's not the case - I suppose it's an equilibrium problem caused by... who knows!?!

You poor thing-- that's why I had to get a seeing eye poodle-- too many bruises. Hope you don't have any longlasting aches!

What are you doing there Cindy??

Hope is doesn't hurt too much.

And if you have already been a stunt woman in an other live that's okay. But don't try to be one now.

We'd miss you if something went wrong.

Thinking of you,

Joost

Youch! You and my husband have your grace in common, then. ;-)

How many people saw it?

Brain matter deposited by: Kat on April 25, 2005 5:32 PM

Caleb - a seeing eye poodle? hahahaha!

Joost - I was just *walking* - I'll never be able to figure out how I did it - maybe my feet were faster than my body - or vice versa, or something.

Kat - thankfully NO ONE was around.

Jeez... I'm glad you're ok... it's a dangerous world out there. You need a team of experts with pads, an airbag, maybe a fire extinguisher and some pain killers... I know some guys around Ft. Washington who might be able to help you out. I mean, I would, but I'm Canadian right now and there are union considerations...

You were probably thrown off balance by the odd wind. You know, the one caused because the Yankees suck.

;)

I owe you cinnamon raisin bread. I haven't forgotten. Look for email in the near future when the chaos calms around here.

i remember falling down the stairs one evening (totally sober, i'll have you know) and seeing as i couldn't stop simply wrapped my arms around my head. when i finally stopped bumping down the stairs the first thing that came to mind was meryl streep asking goldie hawn for the car keys in the film 'death becomes her'.

Zoe - don't lie. You know you weren't sober.

Ted - Right! My prize! I forgot all about it - don't sweat it. Take care of your priorties, but thanks for the reminder. p.s. funny comment about being thrown off -- I'm not yet up to speed with baseball this season.

Joost - maybe!

Aron - hahaha! Pain killers 4sure.
