Zippity Doo-Dah, NOT!

Dialup sucks.

Hanging out in the woods means forgetting about high-speed access and broadband. It means molasses-speed access and narrowband... it means I could age 20 years before those darn-tootin' files transfer or download. The experience reminds me of the days when I longed for my own T1... I'd spend all day at the office with high-speed access then return home to dialup. It sucks. Until I return to my homestead, the need for speed will have to wait.

End of bitching. :-)

That's how it is for me, now - DSL at work and dial-up at home. One of these years I'm going to have Roadrunner and a new computer that doesn't have an integrated graphics card. One of these years.

My god, getting high speed changes you. It makes you an addict. Take it from me. I cannot go back to dialup. It's like putting on a bulletproof vest to go swimming.

kinda makes you want to try that AOL high speed dialup now doesn't it? I still try and make my pages graphics light since folks like my parents still use slow connections.

Kat - I hope you'll get RR and a new computer soon!

paul - yup.

Steve - er, I don't know if I'm THAT desperate that I'd try AOL. Having to use dialup just makes you appreciate hi-speed access when it's available.
