Father's Day
Always a bittersweet day for those of us who have lost our dads. Six years later, I still think about my dad every single day and miss him terribly. The pain of losing dad has been replaced with cherished memories. Even though they're no longer here with us in the physical world, our dads continue to walk along side us. Their spirit and soul live on, and they never lose their importance, their direct effect on our lives.
Happy Father's Day to all the terrific dads I know. I hope you have a great day -- mowing the lawn, chauffering the kids around, taking the youngest to the pool, firing up the barbeque -- or something. Hopefully you'll just be sitting back and relaxing in a lawn chair -- or something. ;-)

I can't understand, having never been through it, what your feeling.
I only hope that when I lose my father I handle it with the grace and dignity that your displaying.
Happy Fathers Day to all the dads. Happy Fathers Day to all the moms filling two pairs of shoes and most of all, happy Fathers Day to those we can only remember. I have no doubt he would be proud of his little girl and that's all that really matters.

I have no dad to speak of other than a step-father. He got to spend his day fishing and that's what makes him happy.
My husband had a nice day. :0)
