Apple Pro Care

For $99 I can reserve my own genius at the Apple Store. As part of Apple's new Pro Care, I can get priority, next-day turnaround on in-store repairs, have old files transferred and ready to roll before I leave the store, book free, one-hour workshops and get special discounts. Since this means I don't have to wait around at the often-crowded Genius Bar, I'm wondering if that $99 gives me the freedom to hand-pick my genius, or if I get just any genius who happens to be bored that day. hmm...

Can you interview them first to select them?

One of the graduates I am training has been doing a review of the applicants for next year's graduate intake and has complained bitterly that the documentation does not include photos. More importantly, from his perspective, it does not include vital measurements (like chest size).....

interviewing - yeah, that would be a great idea!
I had more fun and intelligent Mac conversation with the geeky nerdy-looking genius than I did with the good looking, slayer-of-hearts genius (who looked at me in that stereotypical 'oh she knows nothng' look and therefore barely spoke) I dealt with the first go-round. That's why I want to choose my genius.

About that trainee you've got ... would that be a guy's chest size, or a woman's???

Dunno. I never asked which way he leans. I'll check and get back to you. I just happened to walk past and saw the resumes and then noted his comment about chest sizes.....
